
Design - Consenting Manager (Residential)

The role:
Managing the design and consenting process from RC to CCC and reporting directly to the Technical Manager, this is a great opportunity to work with a professional team in the NZ residential construction market on some prolific developments.
You will be required to:

Guide a small team with a great reputation and culture

Managing the design and consenting process from RC to CCC

Focus on large scale developments, ranging from standalone and terraced dwellings to apartments.

Working with the Technical Project Leads team and Project Administrators, ensuring the delivery of quality accurate plans and assisting with onsite detailing issues etc.
You will need:
-
Starting with a Technology diploma/degree (Drafting or Architectural) and circa 10 years NZ experience is ideal

You will need to be a ‘doer’ as well as a manager, as you will also have your own projects to lead.

Someone who is looking for the next step in their career development, as this is a growth role

Having in-depth knowledge and experience with the NZBC / NZ3604 is critical including Council compliance and the consenting processes.

You must have great attention to detail with good verbal and written communication skills.

Also required are good technical skills including the ability to make complex things simple.

The ability to manage a small team as part of a bigger picture.

Able to manage external consultant content delivery and schedules.

Experience in overseeing all aspects of consent and administration delivery for 
residential builds across a range of locations within Auckland.

The continued development and implementation of the design and construction 
administration aspects of the business from pre-contract to the end of the maintenance period.

The coordination of the working drawings through to consenting and construction 
drawings.

Providing technical and logistical support to a team of Project Mangers to ensure 
a successful and seamless delivery of projects.
