The role:

Taking great pride in their expertise and extensive experience in planning, designing, and constructing low to medium-density builds this company sets the standard for the industry - that’s why they can still boast a growth strategy in a weak market, and that’s why they need you.

 

The job:

  • Tender assessments to identify key requirements and opportunities for prospective bids and projects.

  • Value engineering input for alternative tenders and/or deriving cost effective solutions during early contractor engagement.

  • Requesting and reviewing both subcontractor and suppliers pricing proposals.

  • Managing and reviewing tenders, with a keen eye for detail to ensure pricing 
accuracy and that all tenders are submitted on time.

  • Attending pre and post tender meetings, responding to RFCs - confident and 
comfortable working with clients, consultants, senior management, and suppliers.

  • Measurement and take-off of quantities and materials to produce timely and accurate purchase orders.

 

The skills:

  • More than 5 years experience in the NZ construction market

  • Estimation experience in multi-unit housing, civil site works, and $10m+ tenders

  • Great people skills and able to work as a team.

  • Working knowledge of NZ construction systems, particularly NZS3604

  • Strong financial literacy and attention to detail, including reading plans and quotes.

  • Computer literacy – Excel, Outlook, Word. Experience with Cat Projects or Cost-X 
advantageous but not essential.
