The job:
-
Tender assessments to identify key requirements and opportunities for prospective bids and projects.

Value engineering input for alternative tenders and/or deriving cost effective solutions during early contractor engagement.

Requesting and reviewing both subcontractor and suppliers pricing proposals.
-
Managing and reviewing tenders, with a keen eye for detail to ensure pricing 
accuracy and that all tenders are submitted on time.

Attending pre and post tender meetings, responding to RFCs - confident and 
comfortable working with clients, consultants, senior management, and suppliers.

Measurement and take-off of quantities and materials to produce timely and accurate purchase orders.
The skills:
-
More than 5 years experience in the NZ construction market
-
Estimation experience in multi-unit housing, civil site works, and $10m+ tenders
-
Great people skills and able to work as a team.
-
Working knowledge of NZ construction systems, particularly NZS3604
-
Strong financial literacy and attention to detail, including reading plans and quotes.

Computer literacy – Excel, Outlook, Word. Experience with Cat Projects or Cost-X 
advantageous but not essential.
