The role:
We are looking for someone who can plan, design, and direct engineering projects that prevent, detect, control or reduce fire and smoke in buildings and structures.
In addition, you will assess the fire protection needs within projects and create drawings and schematics of projects using computer-aided design (CAD) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.

The role:

Design wet fire systems using Revit software.

Perform hydraulic calculations for projects in the commercial construction sector.

Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
-
Ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Undertake site inspections and generate field reports.
-
Collaborate effectively with the estimating and engineering departments.
The skills:
-
Circa 5 years design experience in the fire services industry.
-
A tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline.
-
Proficient in the use of Revit.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
High-level experience & competency in Fire Alarm Systems.
-
Competency in all aspects of contracting within NZ.
-
An excellent understanding of the relevant NZ Standards and NZ Building Code (Australian codes can be taught)

Excellent record-keeping and report compilation skills.

Ability to multi-task, schedule work, and prioritise workload.

An salary (negotiated) between $80,000 - $170,000 (AUD) based on skills
