Senior Quantity Surveyor

The role:

A small and very well established Consultancy in the far reaches of the South is looking for a seasoned and stable Quantity Surveyor to join their team for a long-term future in a close-knit team. It starts with a Senior role in the team and leads to a potential partnership, so this is a great opportunity to secure a future in Invercargill.

You will be:

• Quantity surveying & cost estimating using both rates based and elemental estimating methods

• Tender and document preparation

• Contract administration

• Coordination and liaison with clients, design consultants & contractors

• Project financial management

You will need:

• Relevant industry qualification in Quantity Surveying

• Knowledge of CostX estimating software

• Understanding of relevant legislation including NZ Building Code, Building Act, Construction Contracts Act & HSWA.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel based software

• New Zealand based construction experience at a senior level (minimum five years post qualification) either in consulting (preferable) or contracting

• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines when required
