The role:
Operating from a large and modern, purpose-built workshop - currently undergoing expansion, this is a great opportunity to join with a well-established international supplier of reinforcing steel to the building market.
We operate the latest automated machinery and combine this with state-of-the-art delivery systems.
Tasks / Duties:

Scheduling forward workloads in collaboration with contracts supervisors, detailers and customers – using aSa Scheduling software.

Distribution of forward work to shift supervisors.
-
Managing all aspects of incoming stock.
-
Ordering workshop consumables/sundry stock items
-
Managing all workshop related operational activities.
-
Monitor and manage shift optimisation of machinery and inventory.
-
Responsible for delivery in full, on time, and in specification (DIFOTIS).

Monitor and manage daily aspects of site and building operation.
-
Manage, monitor and report on daily aspects of H&S program.
Your Skills:
-
Previous experience in a similar role and environment
-
Minimum engineering (or equivalent) certification
-
Advanced Computer skills including Excel, Outlook
-
Excellent numeracy and eye for detail
-
Great communication skills, both verbally and written
-
Gantry crane ticket and forklift endorsement (ideally HT also)
-
Physically fit
-
Fabrication planning experience, including methodology and procedures
-
Quality Control and Health and Safety management
